In its sixth edition, Lenguajes en Papel (Languages on Paper) will gather approximately 60 artists. The purpose of this exhibition is to show the multiple artistic possibilities of paper as a resource of expression in contemporary artistic practice. Consolidated, emerging and young artists will come together in a single space to show artistic techniques that are currently generated from and with paper and the possibilities offered by paper. New technologies have also made available a wide range of technical and material resources to artists that have dramatically influenced the way the work of art is created and perceived, which is how paper – in its assorted formal variations – has gone beyond a simple plastic support to become the main character of the work.

In this occasion we devote one of our rooms to the works on paper of the Masters of Colombian art, including works by Fernando Botero, Débora Arango, Luis Caballero, Alejandro Obregón, Carlos Rojas, Enrique Grau, Ignacio Gómez Jaramillo, Rafael Echeverri, Darío Morales, Bernardo Salcedo, Juan Cárdenas, Eduardo Ramírez Villamizar, Ana Mercedes Hoyos and Armando Morales.

In this exhibition we will have the participation of national and international artists such as: Adrián Gaitan, Adriana Ciudad (Peru), Alberto Baraya, Alejandro Sánchez, Álvaro Barrios, Andrés Felipe Castaño, Andrés Felipe Guerrero, Andrés Matías Pinilla, Antonio Caro, Brayan Méndez, Camilo Bojacá, Camilo Villegas, Carlos Jacanamijoy, Carlos Amorales (Mexico), Carlos Salazar Arenas, Catalina Ortíz, Cynthia López, Diana Gamboa, Diego Mendoza, Eduard Moreno, Edwin Monsalve, Felipe Flórez, Fredy Buitrago, Fredy Clavijo, Gabriela Pinilla, Giovanni Vargas, Gonzalo Fuenmayor, Gonzalo García, Guillermo Cárdenas Fischer, Jaime Franco, Jaime Gamboa, Jhonatan Pulido, Jonathan Ramírez, Jorge Cabieses (Peru), Jorge Magyaroff, José García, José Horacio Martínez, Juan Camilo García Walker, Juan Francisco Casas (Spain), Juan Mejía, Leonardo Ramos, Lucas Ospina, Luz Ángela Lizarazo, Maite Ibarreche, Manuel Calderón, Marco Mojica, Margarita Lozano, María Cristina Cortés, María Isabel Rueda y Marcos Castro, Mateo Pizarro, Mauro Piva (Brazil), Mohisés Mahiques (Spain), Natalia Castañeda, Nicolás Franco (Chile), Otoniel Borda, Paulo Licona, Pilar Vargas, Priscila González (Costa Rica), Rodrigo Arteaga (Chile), Rodrigo Echeverri, Sebastián Camacho, Simón Ortega, Teresa Currea, and Tomás Fernández (Chile).

Press Release

This annual collective exhibition, which this time groups about 60 artists, is intended to showcase the many artistic possibilities of paper as a means of expression in contemporary artistic practice. New technologies have also made available a wide range of technical and material resources to artists that have dramatically influenced the way the work of art is created and perceived, which is how paper – in its assorted formal variations – has gone beyond a simple plastic support to become the main character of the work. The pieces gathered in this exhibition clearly express the relevance and potential of this medium to create extremely unique proposals.
